Abacus brings $52,200 to lead Friday’s onGait auctions

Boca Raton, FL — The A Rocknroll Dance-Somwherovrarainbow 3-year-old Abacus led all auctions Friday (May 21) at onGait.com when he sold for $52,200 to western Pennsylvania horseman Paul Corey.

Consigned by his breeder, Diamond Creek Farm, in partnership with Jennifer Brown, the lightly raced sophomore has been in the money in all of his six career starts.

Paul Corey was also high bidder on Captain Fireball, a green 3-year-old son of Captaintreacherous and full brother to Breeders Crown winner Captain Crunch. Fresh off two qualifiers for the Chris Ryder barn, he changes hands for $30,500. Let It Ride Stables Inc. and Bottom Line Racing were the consignors.

Among the horses presently in the ring are Maddys Leading Man 3,1:58.1f-‘21, a son of Cantab Hall who just broke his maiden; the Indiana-based Outback Jack 3,1:57.1s-’21 and the Captaintreacherous 4-year-old Make It Come True p,3,1:52.3s.
