Noble wins three Buckeye Stallion Series races at Delaware County Fair

Grove City, OH — Dan Noble was a three-time winner in the Buckeye Stallion Series during the first day of racing at the Delaware County Fairgrounds in Delaware, Ohio, on Sunday (Sept. 19). Noble won all three divisions of the 3-year-old colt trot.

Noble collected his first win of the day guiding the Jim Arledge Jr. trainee Burrow to his first win in the series. The son of Uncle Peter grabbed the lead at the three-quarter pole and won by 1-3/4 lengths in 1:57.2.

Noble’s second win came behind Double Down K. The Break The Bank colt went gate-to-wire in 1:57.2 to collect his first win in the series. It was Double Down K’s fourth win of the year for trainer Bucky Troute.

Malibu Kid was a Buckeye Stallion Series winner for a third time this year as Noble guided the Wishing Stone gelding to victory in 1:57.1. Malibu Kid took the lead at the top of the stretch and won by two lengths for trainer Dalton Walls.

In the 3-year-old filly trot, Cash N Chips collected her third BSS win for trainer Steven Bush. Hunter Myers led the Cash Hall filly down the stretch to win in 1:55.2. It was Cash N Chips’ seventh win of the year.

In the other division of the 3-year-old filly trot, Elegant Gigi and Don Irvine Jr. were parked until the three-quarter pole but took the lead at the top of the stretch to win by a length in 1:57.2. Elegant Gigi is trained by Rosy Weaver. The daughter of Dejarmbro won for the ninth time in 18 starts this year.

Eight Buckeye Stallion Series races scheduled for Tuesday

The Buckeye Stallion Series will make up half of the 16-race card Monday (Sept. 20) at the Delaware County Fair. Four divisions each of 3-year-old colt and gelding pacers and 2-year-old filly pacers will be contested, each with a purse of $17,500.

Four different colts and geldings will be looking for their third win in the series.

In the first division, King Klueber will look for his sixth win of the year for trainer Bruce Sturgeon.

The second division features King’s Cruiser, who has won 11 of 19 for trainer Jeff Nisonger. The other two-time winner is Sleeping Single for trainer Chris Beaver. Sleeping Single has won four of 14 this year.

In the third division, Letstrytowgleagain has won five of 16 for trainer Logan Powell.

Seven other colts have one win in the series. They include Barnard Hanover, Sir Charles Of Sky, Casecon, J W’s Chrome, Odds On Pick Six, Rockin Airway, and Walknafter Midnite.

Four division of 2-year-old filly pacers will be contested and two three-time winners will go to the gate.

Cruzinbytheseaside has three wins in seven starts for trainer Virgil Morgan Jr. while Future Ex-Wife has three wins in four starts for trainer Bill Rhoades.

Three two-time winners, Fantasy Life, Bittrsweetsymphony and McAngel, will look to win again in the Stallion Series.

Five fillies with one win in the series will also be in action. They include She Means Business, Osceola Hanover, Prancing Queen, Bowery, Coastal and She’sonebadmomma.

First race post time at the Delaware County Fairgrounds is 3 p.m.
