Those planning to enter horses in the Tattersalls Winter Mixed Sale will have until Thursday (Dec. 29 to get their entries in and still make the main catalog, according to sale manager David Reid.

The sale will be held in its usual spot on the calendar — Monday, Jan. 16 — in the Meadowlands race paddock.

“We extended the entry deadline, as with the back-to-back holiday weekends approaching, the catalog wouldn’t get printed until afterward,” Reid said. “We’d like as many horses as possible in the main book, and the past performances booklet to be current.”

Reid noted that more and more buyers access the catalog and updates to the past performances online, or by using the Equineline app, which makes getting the print catalog out early less of a concern today.
