Meadows Monday Memo: April 10

Washington, PA — Here is this week’s Meadows Monday Memo.

WE’RE BACK: After a week off for track maintenance, The Meadows returns to racing action this Wednesday (April 12). Both Wednesday and Thursday afternoons will feature 12-race cards, beginning at 12:45 p.m. Racing will also take place Friday and Saturday afternoons, as we begin our Spring/Summer four-day-per-week schedule.

THEY’RE BACK: Plenty of horses that took the winter off are also returning to action this week. On Tuesday (April 11), The Meadows will host 12 qualifying races for a total of 90 horses. The action begins at 11 a.m. and can be watched live on Facebook on the Meadows Standardbred Owners Association page.

SECOND ROUND OF SERIES TO BEGIN: This week also marks the beginning of the second round of Spring Late Closer series, the final run-up to stakes season. The April series events are exclusively for 3-year-olds. Each of the four groups will be featured daily for two legs and a final, starting with 3-year-old pacing fillies on Wednesday.
