Moment Is Here sells for $285,500 at onGait.com

Boca Raton, FL — A week after El Rey brought $525,000, another colt from the “glamour” division sold at onGait.com when Moment Is Here p,3,1:49s went for $285,500 on Thursday afternoon. Mark Weaver of Pennsylvania was the high bidder.

A 3-year-old gelded son of Weaver’s multi-million dollar winning racehorse and now popular Ontario stallion All Bets Off, Moment Is Here was fresh off a win in the Ontario Sire Stakes Super Final at Mohawk and just prior won a heat of the Little Brown Jug in 1:50.1h.

Bob McIntosh Stables Inc., Al McIntosh Holdings Inc., Frank Baldachino and Mardon Stables were the consignors.

His stablemate, Big Big Plans p,2,1:53.4s, an Ontario Sire Stakes Gold winning 3-year-old filly also by All Bets Off, sold on Thursday as well, bringing a winning bid of $72,000 from Weaver. She will leave the Bob McIntosh barn shortly and join Moment Is Here in the Ron Burke stable.

Weaver stated, “The first thing I do every afternoon when I get up is check the new listings at onGait. When I saw a couple of very nice All Bets Offs available, I was hoping we would end up with them. In a year that Sweet Lou has confirmed he’s the best sire on the planet, All Bets Off has also shown he is more than capable of carrying the torch for Bettor’s Delight. Can’t wait to see them race.”

Currently in the auction ring are the Mohawk based 4-year-old Acapulco Sunburn p,4,1:51.1s-’23; Twilight Deo, a stakes placed Chapter Seven 2-year-old filly from the Noel Daley barn; a share of Greenshoe; and Sheer Faith 3,1:55.1f-’23, who took her mark beating Hambletonian Oaks winner Heaven Hanover.

Established in 2001, onGait has sold over $100 million worth of racehorses, yearlings and breeding stock in the past 18 months. As always, those unable to access the site by computer or phone can call Maurice at 561.706.4839.
