The Moma Dance wins Vernon feature

The Hunt Is On (Dylan Huckabone-Miller) led to the quarter in :27.2. So Amazing (Steeven Genois) came first-up heading to the backstretch and battled The Hunt Is On for the lead to the half in :57.3, only for Milliniums Girl (Barton Dalious) to surge to the lead heading around the final turn.

The Moma Dance ($17.20) made her move turning for home, came flying down the stretch, and won easily in 1:55.3. Milliniums Girl had to settle for second. Unusual Clarity (Ron Harp) finished third.

The Moma Dance emerged belatedly and splashed home to a 7-1 upset in Friday’s top distaff pace at Vernon Downs. Fotowon photo.
