Dover, DE — Global Believer S put a field of quality trotters to sleep and won the $25,000 Open Handicap Trot at Bally’s Dover on Tuesday night (Dec. 12).
Global Believer S charged hard at the start of the race and cleared the lead, but was pressed through a :27.3 quarter by a pesky I Get It. Driver Tim Tetrick put the brakes on Global Believer S through a :57.3 half before facing challenges from the first-over Muscle Dynasty, who was parked the mile, and the three-wide Black Hope.
Global Believer S was in cruise control passing three-quarters in 1:25.3, and he had enough in the tank to repel the late charges from Black Hope and Muscle Dynasty, second and third, respectively, and won by a half length in 1:55.

Global Believer S ($4.00) is owned by Engblom Stable LLC and Kasper Foget. Per Engblom trains the 6-year-old Donato Hanover gelding, who won for the eighth time in 17 starts this year.
On Wednesday, Incaseyoudidntknow looks to win her sixth consecutive race in the $26,000 Fillies and Mares Open Handicap Pace, carded as race 13. Boudoir Hanover, who finished second last week, and Majorca N are among those looking to end Incaseyoudidntknow’s streak. There is also a $110,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund final for 3-year-old pacing fillies. First post is 4:30 p.m.
