Sheridan victorious in MADC pace

East Rutherford, NJ — Newton “Yogi” Sheridan and Muscle Factory A were parked out for a majority of the mile but still managed to win a competitive $12,500 Meadowlands Amateur Driving Club (MADC) event to open the Saturday (May 11) program at the Meadowlands.

After taking a brief tuck just after the quarter pole, Sheridan made a second move with Muscle Factory A, tipping from fourth position on the rail and grinding up towards the long shot leader Seeuinnashville A. Muscle Factory A cleared to the lead before the top of the stretch and opened up by four on the field. He wound up winning by three-quarters of a length in 1:52.3. Rock On Line (Tony Verruso) charged home late but has to settle for second while Meet The Creeper (Bruno Chiodo) rounded out the trifecta.

Sheridan co-owns Muscle Factory A, a 9-year-old son of Roll With Joe, with Team Tritton Inc. Shane Tritton trains the $11.40 winner.
