Yonkers to offer Pick-5 carryover, guaranteed pool on Saturday

Yonkers, NY – Saturday night’s (May 18) program at MGM Yonkers Raceway will have a $4,129.18 carryover and a $15,000 guaranteed pool in the Pick-5 after the sequence was not hit on Friday night’s (May 17) card.

The guarantee in the Pick-5 is being offered as part of the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program. Free past performances for the Pick-5, courtesy of TrackMaster, will be available here. The Pick 5, which begins in race five, has a takeout rate of 20 percent.

Friday night’s feature was the $35,000 fillies and mares invitational pace, and Karma Seelster, driven by Austin Siegelman, won on the front-end in 1:51.4. Silk Cloud A (Jordan Stratton) closed from first-over but came up a nose short of Karma Seelster, and Blue Chip Matchmaker Series champion Lit De Rose (Pat Lachance) closed well to grab third.

Andrew Adamczyk trains Karma Seelster, a 7-year-old Sportswriter mare, for owners Karen Hauver and Shady Hill Racing Stable. This was her 26th career victory, she has now banked $1,019,551, and she paid $6.10 to win as the 2-1 second choice. She was atop a $14.80 exacta and a $49.20 trifecta.

MGM Yonkers Raceway is currently operating on a Monday-Tuesday-Thursday-Friday-Saturday live racing schedule with post time at 7 p.m. (EDT), though the oval will be live on Wednesday this coming week (May 22).
