Columbus, OH — Nominations for the Charlie Hill Memorial Trot and Jim Ewart Memorial Pace, held at Eldorado Scioto Downs, must be postmarked by June 15. Both events carry a $250,000 (est.) purse and will be held on Saturday (Sept. 7).

The Charlie Hill Memorial Trot is for 4-year-old and older trotters. Recent winners of the event include Incommunicado, Cuatro De Julio, It’s Academic and Atlanta.

The Jim Ewart Memorial Pace is for 4-year-old and older horse and gelding pacers. Tattoo Artist, Charlie May, Ocean Rock and McWicked have all recently won the event.

The 90-day 2024 Eldorado Scioto Downs race meet runs through Saturday (Sept. 14). Races are held Tuesday-Saturday with a first post of 5:45 p.m. each day, except for Thursday (July 4) with a post of 3:15 p.m. and Friday (Sept. 13) which will have a 6:15 p.m. post to help accommodate horsemen attending the Ohio Selected Yearling Sale.
