TOUGH ACT TO FOLLOW
The 2023 Adios Day card provided The Meadows with a new record handle, as more than $1.5 million was wagered on the 16-race program. With good weather in the forecast and $200,000 in guaranteed pools on the line, the track is hopeful of another solid day. “We were extremely happy with the wagering last year,” said Scott Lishia, Director of Racing. “Players really responded to the guaranteed pools. We’re hoping that this year’s increase in guarantees, from $170,000 to $200,000, will make the day even more attractive to harness players.” Saturday’s first race post is set for 11:45 a.m.
