Nichols, NY — Makadushin N Cheez (Ridge Warren) was a gate-to-wire winner in the $14,000 Open Handicap Trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday (July 27).
Makadushin N Cheez ($3.70) was first to the quarter in :28. He slowed things way down with a :30.1 second quarter to be first to the half in :58.1. Makadushin N Cheez started to get separation heading down the backstretch and was first to three-quarters in 1:26.
As they made the turn for home, Makadushin N Cheez found another gear and just cruised home to win easily in 1:54.4. May Baby (Jim Taggart Jr.) was second best; Sevenshotsobourbon (Tom Merton) finished third.
