Columbus, OH – The U.S. Trotting Association announced Monday (Aug. 19) that Jacob “Junior” Fisher has been named as a new ID Technician, who will service the high-demand territory of Southeastern Pennsylvania.
Fisher will cover the area east of I-81 and South of I-76 and only provide freeze branding at this time.

“As the number of Standardbreds in this region that are seeking brands continues to grow, specifically in the non-commercial market, adding Junior was an easy decision to make,” said USTA Executive Vice President and CEO Mike Tanner.
The 29-year-old father of three, is no stranger to our equine athletes. He started working as a full-time farrier in 2013 before meeting and marrying his wife Emma in 2017.
Fisher continued shoeing horses until 2022 when he purchased Lan-Chester Equine Services in Honey Brook, PA from his father. The large facility focuses on managing stallions, breeding and foaling February through August, then shifts gears to prepping 100-150 yearlings annually for fall sales.
“I enjoy working from home, but look forward to the new task of freeze branding and being a USTA ID Technician,” said Fisher.
