Columbus, MN – One lucky player solved the 20-cent Jackpot Pick-5 wager on Sunday night (Aug. 25) with the only winning ticket to take down the entire pool and carryover for a $39,587.50 score.

The sequence started off in race seven with 8-1 upset winner Toccoa Falls (Williams Hernandez, $18) taking the $15,500 Open Trot. Hernandez scored a back-to-back double with favorite King Of Aces ($4) in race eight and then race nine saw a huge 28-1 upset by pacer Speakdollarsncents (Jeff Hunt $58). which reduced the live Pick-5 combinations to very few.
Iron Sharpens Iron (Brad Irvine, $11) scored as the 9-2 third choice in race 10. When the will-pays were shown going into the final race. there were six chances (from 9 horses) for the jackpot payout.
Its A Marcs World (Nick Roland, $4.80) delivered as co-favorite in the night cap to secure the big Pick-5 payout of $39,587.50.
The Pick-5 Jackpot pool will start anew on the Tuesday night (Aug. 27) program at Running Aces, which will feature nine races and a first post of 7 p.m. (CDT).
