Baltic, OH — Ohio champion Full Count 2,1:59f; 3,1:57.2f; 4,1:55.4f died at Marvin Raber Farms on Sept. 4, 2024, at the age of 23.
Full Count was Ohio Triple Crown winner at 2 and went on to win $238,000 in 2004 and 2005. He was the sire of numerous Ohio Sires Stakes champions, including Count Me In, Contessa Leigh, Count On Kami and others, including Black Magic, Celebrate With Me, Jeffery P, Anastasia Winnie.
During his racing career, he was owned by George Berlin, Anthony Minute and Jeff Polichena and trained by Marty Wollam. Wollam stated, “He gave me many of my greatest memories, both as a racehorse and as a sire. I was lucky to have had him in my life.”
Full Count was born and raised at Raber’s farm and came back to his birthplace for his stallion career. His progeny earned in excess of $11 million.
Raber described Full Count as “a favorite around here for many years” who “always loved attention by anyone that came by his stall. He was a great horse with great human connections. He will be greatly missed.”
