Nichols, NY – Driver Aaron Byron had a grand slam at Tioga Downs on Saturday (Sept. 7). Byron finished first with Spittin Chicklets, Beantown Babe, Reconcile, and Red Dirt Flash.
Sweet Cheyanne (Tyler Miller) captures featured $11,000 fillies & mares’ pace

No Cigar Tony (Mike Merton) was first to the quarter in :27.4. April Ava (Marcus Miller) took the lead with a circuit to go and was first to the half in :57.1. Jenden Strike A (Ron Cushing) came first-up to challenge heading down the backstretch. April Ava led to three quarters in 1:25.
As they reached the stretch, Sweet Cheyanne ($2.70) came flying three-wide and got on by to win by three-quarters of a length in 1:53.1. April Ava had to settle for second. Jenden Strike A finished third.
Sweet Cheyanne is a 4-year-old mare by Huntsville. She is owned by Pollack Racing and trained by Jeff Cullipher. It was her fourth win this season and her 11th career victory.
