Harrington, DE – Layton Hanover ($3.60, Montrell Teague) overcame an overland route for a decisive 1:52.3 win in the featured $22,500 Free-For-All Pace Monday (Oct. 21) at Harrington Raceway.

Owned by David Rovine Stable, Ctc Stable and Mike Hall, the 5-year-old Captaintreacherous gelding was outside the entire mile before clearing the lead in the top of the stretch and drawing away from the field for his ninth win of the season. Mack was second with Ats Hanover third. Trained by his co-owner Hall, it was his third straight triumph. It was one of two wins for Teague on the card, who maintains a two-win lead over Corey Callahan in the driver standings.
After the fifth race, Bobby Glassmeyer’s Sweet Angel Boy was honored as the Delaware Valley Chapter of the United States Harness Writers’ Association’s Horse of the Meet. The 6-year-old Sweet Lou gelding won 10 races at the meet and was a near unanimous selection after winning two of the track’s biggest races, the $50,000 Governor’s Cup and $50,000 Bobby Quillen Memorial.
Jason Green drove four winners on the card, three of which were for trainer Chuck Crissman Jr. Meanwhile Crissy Crissman-Bier trained two winners on the card and maintains a seven-win lead over Joe Columbo in the trainer standings with two nights remaining in the meet.
