Columbus, OH — Roy J. Salute Jr., 64, a lifelong resident of Clifton Heights, Pa., died Oct. 16, 2024.
Mr. Salute was born in Darby to the late Roy and Gladys (Burr). He was a 1977 graduate of Upper Darby High School and worked as a self-employed plumber.
He was a longtime coach for the Clifton Heights PAL and volunteered as a coach for several teams through the years. He also played softball in an over 60 league in West Chester.
Mr. Salute loved harness racing and owned several Standardbreds.
Most of all, he loved his grandchildren, spending most of his free time at all their sporting events.
He was a loving father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
Mr. Salute is survived by his children, Roy J. III (Jody) and Kristin (John) Moughan; and grandchildren, Gianna, Aubree and Ava. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Roy J.; and brother, Steven.
Visitation will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at St. Eugene Church, 200 S. Oak Avenue, Primos, with the Funeral Mass to follow at 11 a.m.
