Dover, DE — Bally’s Dover proudly kicks off its 55th live harness racing season on Monday (Nov. 4) and concludes on Thursday (April 3, 2025) The 83-day racing meet has a post time of 4:30 p.m.
The draw schedule for opening week is as follows:
Tuesday (Oct. 29) for Monday (Nov. 4)
Wednesday (Oct. 30) for Tuesday (Nov. 5)
Thursday (Oct. 31) for Wednesday (Nov. 6)
Monday (Nov. 4) for Thursday (Nov. 7)
The entry box closes at 11 a.m. (online entries are encouraged)
There is no live racing Thursday (Nov. 28) — Thanksgiving — or Dec. 20-29 — Christmas break.
Training is scheduled on race days — Monday through Thursday — from 8 a.m.-noon.
The first qualifying race is scheduled for Tuesday (Oct. 29) at 10 a.m. The draw takes place on Monday (Oct. 28). The entry box closes at 11 a.m. Qualifiers will be on Wednesdays for the remainder of the meet (draw on Tuesday).
The 2-year-old Matron Stakes are scheduled as follows:
2-Year-Old Filly Trot — Monday (Nov. 11)
2-Year-Old Colt Trot — Tuesday (Nov. 12)
2-Year-Old Filly Pace — Wednesday (Nov. 13)
2-Year-Old Colt Pace — Thursday (Nov. 14)
The 3-year-old Matron Stakes will be contested on Thursday (Nov. 7).
Bally’s Dover’s signature race, the Progress Pace for 3-year-old pacers, will offer eliminations (if needed) on Thursday (Nov. 21). The Progress Pace final is scheduled for Wednesday (Nov. 27).
The Delaware Standardbred Breeders’ Fund races are as follows:
2-year-old eliminations — Nov. 7-20 ($20,000 each)
2-year-old finals — Nov. 21-27 ($110,000 each)
3-year-old eliminations — Dec. 2-12 ($20,000 each)
3-year-old finals — Dec. 16-19 ($110,000 each)
