Monticello, NY — Andrew Adamczyk delivered 1-9 favorite K J Kyra with a pillar-to-post job to win the $7,500 North American Amateur Drivers Association Trot at Monticello Raceway on Wednesday (Nov. 13).

Leaving from post four, Adamczyk fired K J Kyra off the wings and cleared command to a :30.2 first quarter, parking Campbellini (Dante Scattolini) in the process. Campbellini continued to pester K J Kyra through a 1:00 half and to three-quarters in 1:29.4 before faltering from the wide trip.
All the while Adamczyk kept his charge on the muscle and widened his margin on the spin for home, opening an advantage capped at 4-1/4 lengths by the beam in a 1:59 mile. Mufasa As (McKenzie Sowers) gave chase from a pocket trip for second while Fair Glider (Robert Ciavardini) followed suit in third.
Gary Messenger trains K J Kyra, a 6-year-old mare by Donato Hanover, for owner Scott Woogen. She paid $2.20 to win.
The NAADA fall trotting series concludes next Thursday (Nov. 21) with a $20,000 final at Yonkers Raceway. First-race post time at Yonkers is 7 p.m. (EST).
