Lexington, KY — New Vocations’ 27th annual stallion auction will be held via onGait.com Feb. 4-6. This important fundraiser is crucial to the charity’s ability to rehabilitate, train and rehome nearly 100 retired Standardbred racehorses and broodmares each year.
Breedings to King Of The North, Bettor’s Wish, Greenshoe, Jk Endofanera, Rebuff, Six Pack, Cattlewash, Courtly Choice, and Trixton are among the 60-plus seasons that have already been donated.
“We greatly appreciate the many individuals and farms for their generosity in supporting our efforts,” said Executive Director Dot Morgan. “Rehabilitating sore racehorses, transitioning them along with retired broodmares to pleasure riding, and then adopting them to carefully screened and monitored homes is a serious investment of time and money. The stallion auction helps give us the resources to fulfill this mission.”
Breedings are still needed to optimize this important funding opportunity. Contact Dot Morgan at dot@horseadoption.com or 937.205.4667 to participate. Breedings for the auction are needed by Feb. 3, but are welcomed all season to be offered privately. View current list at https://newvocations.org/event_detail/49.
