Saratoga Springs, NY — Violets Rainbow completed a triple for trainer Jaymes McAssey with a 1:54.3 win in Tuesday’s (Feb. 25) $12,000 feature for fillies and mares at Saratoga Casino Hotel.
Following victories in her first local starts this season and a fourth-place finish in last week’s Fillies and Mares Open, the 8-year-old Art Official mare advanced first-over in line to Brett Beckwith and wore down long shot Linemup Knockmback (driven by Jimmy Devaux) late in the stretch. Favorite Always Watching (Jordan Derue) finished third.

Violets Rainbow paid $5.70 to win.
McAssey also won with Think Ahead and Downtown Tonight, both of whom recorded their third wins of the season.
Live racing at Saratoga continues Wednesday (Feb. 26); first post is 12 noon.
