Dover, DE — Chapheart proved to own the heart of a lion as he was parked the entire mile yet still won the Winners Over/Select Trot at Bally’s Dover on Tuesday night (March 4).
Sparks were flying early as four trotters vied for the early lead. Odds-on favorite Rivers was on a mission, parking out Big Daddy D, Chapheart and Inaminute Hanover trotting towards the first turn. Inaminute Hanover then retreated to fourth along the pylons. Big Daddy D and Chapheart continued their duel parked out as Rivers held a narrow lead marching to the opening quarter in :26.4. Rivers and Big Daddy D continued their own private war as Big Daddy D remained parked out. Chapheart was also parked but with cover. Rivers continued to take on pressure reaching the half in :56.3.
Rivers continued on the lead down the backstretch, but the early fractions took their toll on Big Daddy D as he weakened. Chapheart circled three wide around Big Daddy D. Inaminute Hanover protected rail position. Mickey Muscles followed on the rim second-over. Muscledover chased third-over parked out.
Rivers and Chapheart eyeballed each other and were on even terms reaching the three-quarters in 1:26. In mid-stretch, Chapheart wore down Rivers and won by three-quarters of a length in 1:55.1.

Inaminute Hanover finished second; Muscledover was third.
Chapheart, who paid $17.20 to win, is owned by Michael Casalino Jr. and Dylan Davis Racing. Pat Berry drove the son of Chapter Seven for trainer Dylan Davis.
Tony Morgan and Montrell Teague scored driving triples. Owner Frank Chick also won three races on the card.
Ludacrous A looks for a third consecutive win in the featured Mares Winners Over Pace on Wednesday night (March 5). First post is 4:30 p.m.
