Columbus, OH — Equine Affaire opens up Thursday (April 10) at the Ohio Expo Center in Columbus, Ohio, and runs through Sunday (April 13). The USTA and Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association have once again teamed up to promote the excitement of harness racing and programs like the Standardbred Incentive Program for retired racehorses.
Horses from Cherokee Stables will be on grounds for three demonstrations, two of which (Friday, April 11, at 4:45 p.m. in the Voinovich pavilion, and Saturday, April 12, at 11 a.m. in the Coliseum) will be Drill Team presentations. A few horses from the Drill Team will also showcase the transition from racehorse to show horse on Friday (April 11) in the Rod’s Pavillion at 6 p.m.
The USTA/OHHA booth will be in the breed pavilion (Voinovich) and will include the 360-video experience, bones box, bandaging station, post time plinko and petting stall. Some of the horses showcased in the petting stall will be:

New Vocations Racehorse Adoption and Ohio Standardbreds & Friends will also be at Equine Affaire to promote racehorse adoption and their shows.
To attend Equine Affaire, tickets can be purchased online; kids 6 & under are admitted for free. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate (cash only) at $20 for an adult ticket and $10 for children ages 7-10. Parking at the Ohio Expo Center is $10.
