Nichols, NY – Asteroid took the featured $12,000 trot at Tioga Downs on Saturday (May 10).
Vinny De Vie (Braxten Boyd) charged straight to the front and led to the quarter in :28. He used a :29.2 second quarter to be first to the half in :57.2. He continued to control things and led to three-quarters in 1:25.4.

Asteroid (Tyler Miller – $4.40) made his move first-up going around the final turn. The two trotters battled as they reached the stretch. Asteroid pulled away late to win by 1-1/4 lengths in 1:55. Vinny De Vie had to settle for second best. Consus Victory (Aaron Byron) finished third.
Asteroid is a 7-year-old gelding by Creatine. He is owned by Pollack Racing and trained by Jeff Cullipher. He is one for one in 2025 and now has 17 career victories.
Ridge Warren, Tyler Miller and Braxten Boyd all picked up driving doubles. Mike Deters had a training double.
Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Sunday (May 11) with a post time of 1 p.m.
