Vernon, NY – Driver Justin Huckabone had a five-win night including the featured $7,500 trot with Night Star on Friday (May 23).

Night Star ($26,20) led to the quarter in :27.2. Joxter (Dan Daley) came first-up to challenge heading down the backstretch. Night Star led to the half in :58.0. Joxter then took over control and led to three-quarters in 1:26.1.
As they reached the stretch, Joxter look like he was home free but started to tire. A resilient Night Star slipped through on the inside and won in 1:56.4. Emotion Riches (Chris Long) came up to get second. Century Invader (Leon Bailey) finished third.
Night Star is a 5-year-old gelding by Met’s Hall. He is owned by Fran Mazza and trained by George Harrison. It was his third win this season. He now has eight career victories.
Huckabone’s other wins came with Modelo, Helphasarrived, Evanator, and Mickie Mantle.
