Tioga Downs played host for two divisions of the New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for sophomore trotting fillies at Tioga Downs on Friday (June 6).
My Debt Collector (Tyler Buter) captures the $58,000 first division of the NYSS

Best Story Ever (Tyler Miller) was first to the quarter in :28.4. She slowed things to a crawl and led to the half in :59.4. My Debt Collector ($4.30) made her move going first-over down the backstretch. Best Story Ever was first to three-quarters in 1:28.3.
My Debt Collector and Best Story Ever battled all the way down the stretch. My Debt Collector pulled ahead and won in 1:57.1. Best Story Ever went on a break just before the wire and was second but placed third. Pink Chou Chou (Jeff Gregory) was third but placed second.
My Debt Collector is a 3-year-old filly by Chapter Seven. She is trained by R. Nifty Norman for owners Little E LLC, David McDuffee, and Melvin Hartman. It was her fourth win this season. She now has seven career victories.
Seventh Gen (Jeff Gregory) goes from last to first to win the $58,000 second division of the NYSS
Royal Mission (Braxten Boyd) led to the first quarter in :27.2. Chapvious (Frank Affrunti) came first-up to challenge as they headed to the half. Royal Mission was first to the half in :56. Sonmar Pond (Wally Hennessey) then was next to challenge. Royal Mission had a short lead to three-quarters in 1:25.

As they reached the stretch, second-place finisher Pink Bomb (Tyler Buter) then took over control. Seventh Gen ($20.40) came flying down the stretch like she was shot out of cannon and won in a lifetime best of 1:55. Royal Mission had to settle for third.
Seventh Gen is a 3-year-old filly by Chapter Seven. She is owned by Jesmeral Stable and trainer Jeff Gregory. She won for the first time this season. She now has five career victories.
Braxten Boyd had a driving grand slam. Jeff Cullipher had a training double.
Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Saturday (June 7) with a post time of 6:15 p.m.
