Woodstock, VA – The United States Harness Driving Club (USHDC) complimented Shenandoah Downs’ $275,000 pari-mutuel racing program with a flurry of donations on Saturday (June 7).

No less than six presentations were made during the racing program, enabled by the generosity of the USHDC members donating 100% of their earnings from their designated events.
USHDC Treasurer Tom Eichas lamented, “Our success in giving is made possible by the foresight of the racing department that writes the classes for our races and we appreciate their help beyond words.
“Dee Lineweaver is always in our corner as it creates goodwill throughout the community here and, in many cases, well beyond bringing new fans to the track to enjoy everything about our great sport..
“And we can’t forget Darrell Wood, ace photographer who creates indelible history with his camera.”
Saturday’s beneficiaries included the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame, the Woodstock Rescue Squad, the National Standardbred Horse Show, The Growing Tree, the Woodstock Museum and American Legion Post #199.
