Chesapeake City, MD – Winbak Farm is saddened to announce the passing of 24-year-old Met’s Rival. She passed away on July 3.
“Met’s Rival was a very important member of the Winbak Farm trotting broodmare band,” said Jack Burke, Winbak Farm General Manager. “Her bloodlines are globally sought after.”
Met’s Rival is the daughter of 2009 Trotting Broodmare of the Year Yankee Blondie, 3, 1:59.4f ($8,434), the dam of Harness Racing Hall of Fame inductee Muscle Hill, 2, 1:53.3; 3, 1:50.1 ($3,273,342).
Met’s Rival is the dam of Met’s Inn, 3, 1:57.4s; 1:56.4s ($184,034), and Commando Queen, 3, Q1:59.1 ($124,941). Met’s Inn is the dam of Met’s Hall, 2, 1:52.4; 3, 1:51.2 ($1,295,306), 2025 New York Sire Stakes winner, Inn Of The Stars, 2, 1:57f -’24 ($169,025), and Inn At Rodanthe, 3, 1:56.2s; 1:55.1f -’25 ($161,645). Mets Life is the second dam of 2024 Canadian Trotting Classic Winner Amazing Catch, 2, 1:55.1; 3, 1:51.4s -’24 ($887,103). Commando Queen is the dam of Order By Commander, 3, 1:58.2s; 1:55.1s ($164,215), and Kaleun, 2, 1:58.3f; 3, 1:56.4f -’23 ($108,970). Commando Queen is the dam of recent Hall of Fame inductee Steamy Windows, the dam of Gimpanzee, 2, 1:54.3s; 3, 1:51.1f; 1:50 ($2,701,075), and Iteration, 2, 1:53.3; 3, 1:53.1s ($780,818).
