Columbus, OH — The Saturday (July 26) card at Eldorado Scioto Downs had to be canceled after four races due to rain and flooding.
The Ohio Sires Stakes events for 2- and 3-year-old pacing colts that were part of the canceled card will be rescheduled to a later date to be determined on Monday.
Racing is scheduled to resume Tuesday (July 29) with qualifiers at 3:45 p.m. followed by the 13-race card with a first post scheduled off time of 5:52 p.m.
Due to Ohio State Racing Commission rules, Saturday’s $40,000 guaranteed Pick-5 pool paid out on tickets with three of four winners correct from the new money bet into the pool. Tuesday’s card will feature another $40,000 guaranteed Pick-5 starting in race one; the pool will be started with the $12,316 carryover from Friday’s late Pick-5.
The 90-day 2025 Eldorado Scioto Downs race meet runs through Saturday, Sept. 13. Races are held Tuesday-Saturday with a 5:45 p.m. first post. A special late first post of 6:45 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 12, will help accommodate horsepeople attending the Ohio Selected Yearling Sale. More information about racing at Scioto can be found on the Eldorado Scioto Downs website.
