Lexington, KY – The Red Mile will provide a 16-race card for Sunday Night Lights (Aug. 10) sponsored by Crawford Farms. There will be one $80,000 second round of the Kentucky Championship Series, two $30,000 first-round legs of the Kentucky Commonwealth Series, three $15,000 first-round legs of the Kentucky Golden Rod Series and three $10,000 first-round legs of the Kentucky Wildcat Series. All stake events are for freshman filly pacers.
Beautiful Memory, Bahama Momma square off in Championship Series
Beautiful Memory (Marvin Luna) and Bahama Momma (Scott Zeron) resume their budding rivalry. The former upended the latter at odds of 65-1 to break her maiden in 1:50.3 for conditioner Tony Alagna in the first round of this series on July 29.

Ignored no more, Beautiful Memory is 7-2 on the morning line and will leave from post position three in the field of 10.
The daughter of Perfect Sting-Reflect With Me is 3-1-0-1 with a bankroll of $45,000.
Bred by Brittany Farms, Beautiful Memory is the second foal out of her Breeders Crown-winning dam that collected $782,268 on the racetrack. Reflect With Me, a daughter of Captaintreacherous, has already foaled Banderas (Tall Dark Stranger, $108,786).
Beautiful Memory was selected for $250,000 by Micki Rae Stables at last year’s Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.
Bahama Momma’s dam is no slouch. The daughter of former Horse of the Year Tall Dark Stranger is out of Dan Patch and O’Brien awards winner Idyllic Beach.
The filly will begin pacing from post position five and is 9-2 on the morning line for trainer Joe Bongiorno. Bahama Momma is 3-2-1-0 after annexing her first two starts in Pennsylvania Sire Stakes company and has $66,221 in purse money.
Bred by Christina Takter, Marvin Katz and Brixton Medical Inc., the filly is owned by Let It Ride Stables and Odds On Racing.
Caviart Daisy (Andrew McCarthy) will also have a say in the final result of this contest. The daughter of Sweet Lou-Caviart Darlin’ hails from the shedrow of Jamie Sullivan and is 5-2 on the morning line.
The filly drew post position two. She finished right behind Beautiful Memory and Bahama Momma in their last encounter after winning her first three starts in sire stakes at Oak Grove Racing, Gaming and Hotel. One of those triumphs was the $100,000 final for her age, gait and gender. She has earned just shy of $100,000.
Bred by Caviart Farms, Caviart Daisy was taken home by Frank Chick for $27,000 at last year’s Lexington Selected Yearling Sale. She is a half-sister to Caviart Delight (Always B Miki, $142,917) and her granddam is multiple North American champion Darlin’s Delight (Bettor’s Delight, $2.90 million).
JK Fierce Lady, Naughty Beauty headline Commonwealth Series
The undefeated JK Fierce Lady (Dexter Dunn) is the 6-5 choice on the morning line in the first division of this series for trainer Nancy Takter. The regally bred daughter of Captaintreacherous-JK First Lady will start from post position two and places her two-for-two record on the line in the field of six.
Competing as a homebred for 3 Brothers Stables, the filly is the first foal out of her world champion dam (Western Ideal, $879,136). JK Fierce Lady’s second dam is 2014 Horse of the Year JK She’salady (Art Major, $919,583).
Naughty Beauty (Todd McCarthy) will attempt to collect her second victory in as many trips to the gate from post position seven in the second division of this series. Trained by Andrew Harris, the daughter of Bettor’s Delight-Beautyonthebeach is the 2-1 on the morning line in the field of seven.
Bred by James Avritt Sr., the filly was a $550,000 purchase at last year’s Lexington Selected Yearling Sale by William Pollock, Bruce Areman and her trainer. Naughty Beauty is the third foal out of Kentucky champion Beautyonthebeach (Somebeachsomewhere, $540,428). She is a full sibling to Blazing Belle ($205,892) and Crack Shot ($300,428).
