Lexington, KY — On Tuesday (Aug. 12), The Red Mile will conduct a 17-race card with two $80,000 second round legs of the Kentucky Championship Series for 3-year-old male pacers and sophomore filly trotters. The card also includes nearly $200,000 in stakes purses with the Kentucky Commonwealth Series, Kentucky Golden Rod Series and Kentucky Wildcat Series.
Sippinonsearoc (Yannick Gingras) annexed his second victory from eight starts this season on Aug. 3 in a seasonal personal record of 1:48.1 for 2025 in the first round of this series for his age, gait and sex.

The son of Downbytheseaside-Queen Ann M will leave from post position five and is 9-5 on the morning line in the field of seven for conditioner Ron Burke.
The colt became the swiftest freshman pacer in history with a 1:48.2 score over the Lexington oval last year and was nosed out by stablemate Louprint in the $700,000 Breeders Crown Final last fall. Louprint also got the better of his rival in the $400,000 Kentucky Championship Series Final last September.
Louprint, however, is briefly on the sidelines so now is Sippinonsearoc’s time to soar.
Bred by Trent Stohler and Alesha Binkley, the colt is owned by Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi, R A S Racing and Knox Services Inc. He was purchased for $77,000 at the 2023 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale and is the only of his dam’s three foals of racing age to earn more than $100,000.
Sippinonsearoc possesses a resume of 19-8-4-2 and has banked $680,900. His dam is an Ohio champion. He has earned $112,900.
Crack Shot (Doug McNair) will make his first pari-mutuel appearance in Kentucky for trainer Gregg McNair after competing primarily North of the Border. The son of Bettor’s Delight and Kentucky champion Beautyonthebeach will commence pacing from post position two and is 2-1 on the morning line.
The colt enters this event off a second-place finish by a head in Ontario Sire Stakes Gold Series action at Grand River Raceway as the favorite on Aug. 4. He captured the 2024 Gold Series Final last season.
Bred by James Avritt Sr., Crack Shot is owned by his trainer, Dale Hunter, Frank Brundle and George Kerr. He is full brother to Blazing Belle ($205,892) and was purchased for $205,000 at the 2023 Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.
His younger 2-year-old full sister, Naughty Beauty, sold for $550,000 at last year’s Lexington Selected Yearling Sale.
Crackpot’s record stands at 16-8-3-0 and he has earned $300,428 in purse money. His $125,397 collected in purse money this season is the most in this field.
The second leg of the series for sophomore filly trotters features a compact, yet quality field of five. Deja Blu (Gingras) returns to the Bluegrass after a fourth-place finish in the $500,000 Hambletonian Oaks Final at The Meadowlands on Aug. 2.
The daughter of U.S. and Canadian Horse of the Year Muscle Hill and 2018 Hambletonian victress Atlanta is 9-5 on the morning line for trainer Nancy Takter.
Deja Blu will start trotting from post position three. The filly is seeking her third win from eight starts this season. Her career record is 15-6-2-0 with one of those triumphs being the $115,000 Commonwealth Series Final last year.
Bred by Crawford Farms Racing, Bradley Grant and Howard Taylor, Deja Blu is owned by her breeder and Thomas Pontone.
She has amassed $214,052 in her two seasons of competition.
Stash Some Cash (Tim Tetrick) will provide Deja Blu with plenty of opposition from post position two for trainer Domenico Cecere. The daughter of Walner-Nothing But Moni is 2-1 on the morning line and just finished second to the outstanding Yo Tillie in the first leg of this series at 45-1 on Aug. 3.
The filly is looking for her third win from six starts in 2024 and sixth from 12 starts overall. Stash Some Cash has focused primarily on the New Jersey circuit but was a winner last year at this facility.
Bred by her owner, Moni Maker Stable, the filly is a half-sibling to Ready For Moni (Ready Cash, $1.20 million), Not For Moni (Muscle Hill, $355,370) and Moni Heist (Walner, $109,900).
Racing will continue through Sunday (Oct. 5), following a Sunday through Wednesday schedule. Fans and horsemen can look forward to 5:05 p.m.post times on Sundays, and 1:00 p.m. post times on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays throughout the meet.
