Beginning at the Fair in Indianapolis on Wednesday (Aug. 6) with 11 events followed by the Grade 2 “Dan Patch” invitational at Hoosier Park on Friday night (Aug. 8), the Grand Circuit culminated at Northfield Park on Saturday night Aug. 9). The event was the $300,000 Carl Milstein Memorial.
This week coming up there are potentially 16 events starting with the Grade 1 eliminations for the William Wellwood and Peaceful Way at Woodbine Mohawk Park. Moving south to Wilkes-Barre, PA, their big night hosts Grade 1 and 2 events at Pocono Downs for 3-year-olds of both gaits and sexes. Also on Saturday (Aug. 16) will be the final of the Grade 3 “Gold Cup and Saucer” at Charlottetown, a truly hometown harness racing event that should be on every fan’s bucket list.
