Vernon, NY — Hunt Off The Press (Tyler Buter) captures the featured $112,100 New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for pacing colts & geldings at Vernon Downs on Saturday (August 16).
Fragment (Mark Herschberger) grabbed the lead and led to the first quarter in a sizzling :25.4. He slowed things down with a :29.1 second quarter to be first to the half in :55.0. Quickway (Braxten Boyd) came first-up to challenge going around the final turn. Fragment was first to three-quarters in 1:23.1.

As they reached the stretch, second place finisher Quickway took a short lead. Hunt Off The Press ($4.20) then found an opening on the inside squeezing through and by to win in a lifetime best of 1:52.1. Knoxville (Mark MacDonald) finished third.
