Nichols, NY — Madden Oaks (Braxten Boyd) charges late to capture the featured $123,900 New York Sire Stakes (NYSS) for sophomore pacing colts & geldings at Tioga Downs on Sunday (August 17).
Fast Choice (Jason Bartlett) was fastest to the quarter in :26. The Meadowlands Pace winner, Madden Oaks ($4.10) then took over going around the clubhouse turn and was first to the half in :54. The lead was short lived as Ima Perfect Choice (Matt Kakaley) then forged to the front and led to three-quarters in 1:20.2.

As they reached the stretch Madden Oaks popped the pocket and swooped on by to win in 1:49.2. Ima Perfect Choice had to settle for second. Fast Choice was third best.
Madden Oaks is a 3-year-old colt by Huntsville. He is trained by Cameron Capone for owners Samir Tawil, Paul Kautz, Alexander Henn, and Nathan Fullmer. It was his fifth win this season. He now has seven career victories.
Tioga Downs returns to live racing on Friday (August 22) with a post time of 6:15 p.m.
