Middletown, NY – The 2025 Goshen Yearling Sale will be held at noon on Monday (Sept. 15) at the Mark Ford Training Center in Middletown, NY and the roster of yearlings being offered this year are currently being examined by many interested parties in person, on video and in the catalog.

However no one has observed these horses closer than the respective managers of each farm. Here are some opinions they have offered about who stands out to them from their consignments.
Steve Jones – Cameo Hills Farm
Our 2025 consignment consists of 41 yearlings of which 31 are for clients and 10 are farm owned. It includes something for everyone with eight trotting colts, five trotting fillies, 13 pacing colts and 15 pacing fillies.
New York pacing sires are represented by eight Huntsville‘s – the leading money winning sire in North America for 2 & 3-year-olds, two by American Ideal and two by Shadow Play. Also four New York-sired trotters by the very popular Crazy Wow and one colt by Met’s Hall will be offered .
We will also be selling 13 Pennsylvania-bred pacers, two by the red hot Papi Rob Hanover, one Sweet Lou, four by Tall Dark Stranger, five by Captain Crunch and one Stay Hungry. Five Pennsylvania trotters are headed by a pair by Greenshoe, one International Moni, one Father Patrick and one outstanding colt by this year’s new trotting sensation, Captain Corey.
We will be selling three New Jersey bred pacers – all by Perfect Sting – who is already the sire of the great 2-year-old filly Be Perfect BG who has a mark of 1:50.1 and $121,950 in earnings so far in 2025.
In addition we are selling three New Jersey-bred trotters, two by this year’s Hambletonian winning sire Six Pack and one by Tactical Landing, sire of the Hambletonian winner in both 2023 & 2024.

We will also be selling 16 yearlings that are dual-eligible to the lucrative Kentucky Sire Stakes program.
All 14 yearlings that we are selling for Crawford Farms are also dual-eligible. Al and Michelle Crawford’s nursery has bred two of the last six Hambletonian winners and they have established themselves as one of the world’s leading breeders.
Crawford Farms will also be selling (Hip #47) Misswedmemore, who is a full brother to Whiskey Wow, a recent winner at Lexington’s Red Mile in 1:52.1 in Kentucky Sire Stake action.
We will also be selling three yearlings for Hot Lead Farm, who bred this year’s Hambletonian Oaks winner, Conversano.

Jean Brown – Blue Chip Farm
Blue Chip’s 2025 Goshen yearling consignment will feature three first-crop New York Stallions. The first being four youngsters by the Ready Cash son, Back Of The Neck (1:51 – $1,463,733) including (Hip #34) Bijou Blue Chip. This filly is a first foal out of Read The Book, an E L Titan daughter out of the immediate family of the great Chapter Seven.
The first crop of Messenger champion American Courage (1:47.4 – $838,152) is also showcased in the Blue Chip consignment that includes (Hip #66) Bastonata Blue Chip. This colt, who is also Massachusetts eligible, is a half-brother to three $200,000 winners.
Shadow Play’s first New York eligible crop also debuts in 2025. A top proven sire whose offspring have won over $60 million to date. Two colts will be presented at Goshen, including the first colt out of the Bettor’s Delight mare, Feel The Money N. This is the same pedigree cross that produced $800,000+ winners Kendall Seelster and Lawless Shadow.

David Hanson – Leatherstocking Equine
Leatherstocking Equine has a solid consignment of first time sires, as well as time proven sires. A nice mix with a Pennsylvania-eligible Captain Crunch filly, two fillies by Hambletonian sire Six Pack, two The Veteran colts, one dual-eligible (NY & Mass) Devious Man filly, three by Met’s Hall, one Shadow Play filly and one Huntsville colt.
We will also be offering three fillies by first-crop sire Back Of The Neck and two fillies by first-crop sire Hill Street Blues. All in all, this is a very nice bunch of yearlings.
The 2025 Goshen Yearling Sale will be held on Monday (Sept. 15) at noon. Catalogs are still available at most tracks and training centers in the northeast and can be downloaded right from the GYS website (goshenyearlingsale.com).
Live video of the entire sale and online bidding will be available through Cattle In Motion. Their website (cattleinmotion.com) is your one-stop shop for everything pertaining to the GYS but you will need to register in advance of the sale for all the available benefits.
