Nichols, NY – Bartertown (Brett Crawford) captures the $10,000 featured pace at Tioga Downs on Monday (Sept. 1).

BB Lucky Boy (Braxten Boyd) and Sea Of Life (Tyler Miller) went side by side from the start. BB Lucky Boy led to the quarter in 26.2. The two continued to battle to the half as BB Lucky Boy had a short lead to the half in :53.4. As they headed down the backstretch Bartertown ($23.80) joined the duo as he came three-wide. BB Lucky reached three quarters first in 1:23.3.
As they reached the stretch Bartertown took over the lead, but second place finisher Always B Elvis (Jim Pantaleano) came charging late and fell just short as Bartertown won in 1:51.4. Sea Of Life finished third.
Bartertown is a 3-year-old gelding by Stay Hungry. He is owned by Dragon Tales Farm and trained by Michelle Crawford. It was his sixth win of the season and of his career.
Braxten Boyd and Mike Merton had driving doubles.
Bentley won the wiener dog race for the fourth consecutive year. Emily Krise is the owner.
