Pinehurst, NC – Carl Eugene Anders Jr., 81, of Pinehurst, N.C., passed away on Aug. 31, 2025.
He was the husband of Nancy L. Anders. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Originally from Washington Court House, Ohio, he was a longtime horse owner of such horses as Medoland Mac, Medoland Kendall, Medoland Jackie, Chiptoria Secret and many more. Carl was a partner with the late Robert Sidley, Skip Hoovler and trainer Mike Medors.
In his retirement, Carl was a ranger at Pinehurst Golf Course and visited the Pinehurst Harness track often to watch the 2-year-olds train.
A memorial service was conducted at 2 p.m. Friday (Sept. 5) at Pinehurst United Methodist Church.
Services are entrusted to Boles Funeral Home.
