Yonkers, NY – A 72-1 upset by Royal Desire in Monday night’s (Sept. 8) final race at MGM Yonkers Raceway caused the Pick 5 not to be hit for the second time in three programs. As a result, there will be a carryover of $9,987.66 and a $25,000 guaranteed pool in the sequence on Tuesday night (Sept. 9).
The guarantee in the Pick 5 is being offered as part of the United States Trotting Association’s Strategic Wagering Program. Free past performances for the Pick 5, courtesy of TrackMaster, will be available at handicapping.ustrotting.com. The Pick 5, which begins in race five and has a $1 minimum, has a takeout rate of 20 percent.
MGM Yonkers Raceway’s normal Monday/Tuesday and Thursday through Saturday live racing schedule will have some upcoming deviations. Yonkers will have racing on Wednesday (Sept. 10) and will be dark Friday (Sept. 12) in preparation for the $1 million MGM Yonkers International Trot on Saturday the 13th. Wednesday racing will also take place on Sept. 17 as part of a Monday-Saturday six-day slate next week.
