Harrington, DE — David Banks’ Ragtime Red ($21.40, Allan Davis) won her fifth straight race in Tuesday’s (Sept. 9) $18,000 Fillies and Mares Open at Harrington Raceway, stopping the timer in 1:54.3.
Lofty Treasure inherited the lead after favorite Incaseyoudidntknow (Jim Morand) made an equipment-related break near the half-mile and scattered the field. Ragtime Red eventually ended up in the pocket and edged out Lofty Treasure for the win. Melody Hanover was third.

Ragtime Red, a Getitoffyourchest filly, recorded her 14th career win for trainer Don Brittingham. She was a Maryland Sire Stakes champion at 2 and 3.
Trainer Andrew Stafford and his brother, driver Art Stafford Jr. teamed up for wins in the first two races with Kissin Joe N ($2.40) and Win With Lynnly ($3.20). Stafford Jr. had five wins on the card, including a trio for his brother. Davis had a double.
Live racing at Harrington will continue on a Monday-through-Wednesday schedule until Oct. 22.
