Batavia, NY — Although based out of Saratoga, Delta Three N has used her E-Z Pass on the Thruway quite often this summer to travel west to Batavia Downs, where she has made her second home. And home was a good place to be once again on Wednesday (Sept. 10) when Delta Three N won her fourth consecutive outing at The Downs in the featured $12,500 Open for fillies and mares to remain undefeated in Genesee County in 2025.
Jim Morrill Jr. took a measured stroll to the lead with Delta Three N before taking control at the quarter in :27.3. With Gia’s Surreal (Drew Monti) pocketed-up for the journey, Delta Three N reached the half in :56.3 and then fought with the pesky Summer Slash (Ray Fisher Jr.) to three-quarters in 1:25.1. Delta Three N finally turned back Summer Slash as they reached the stretch, and then held off late charges from the tripped-out Gia’s Surreal and a late closing Won Surreal deal (Kyle Cummings) to win by an easy two lengths in 1:53.4, which was only one-fifth off the mares lifetime mark.

It was the 10th win of the year for Delta Three N ($4.32) who is owned by her trainer Brett Derue, in partnership with Stephen Picarazzi.
Earlier in the $9,700 mid-level conditioned pace for female pacers, Lyon’s Miki (Joe Chindano Jr.) got away sixth, but moved first-over to chase down the frontrunning Morgans All In (Kevin Cummings) at three-quarters and then hold off Betor B Sawyer (Dave McNeight III) by a neck at the light to win in 1:55.3.
Lyon’s Miki ($16.50) is owned by Bob Kluchevitz and trained by Zach Gray.
Dave McNeight III ended the night with three driving wins, two of which were trained by Maria Rice, who was the top trainer on Wednesday.
