Boca Raton, FL — Kentucky Commonwealth Series champion Strangerinthenight sold Friday (Sept. 19) afternoon at onGait.com for $100,000.
Wayne Oke of Kentucky was the high bidder. The 3-year-old son of Tall Dark Stranger-Tall Drink Hanover won the series capper on Monday at The Red Mile in a lifetime best 1:50.2 over heavily favored Fusion.
He was sold by the partnership of Brittany Farms LLC, Riverview Racing LLC, Steven Head and Pryde Stables and previously trained by Tony Alagna.
Also on Friday, bidding got underway for the 2025 onGait Fall Yearling Sale. A total of seventy-two (72) yearlings are being offered, including a fine consignment from Hanover Shoe Farms and Kentuckiana Farms.
