Harrington, DE — Manklin Creek’s Huntress ($3.00, Allan Davis) won her third straight race Tuesday (Sept. 23) at Harrington Raceway in 1:52.4 in the featured $18,000 Mares Open.
Huntress was sent for the lead immediately from post six and set fractions of :27.1, :56 and 1:24.1 with no serious pressure until late en route to her eighth win of the season for trainer Eric Ell. Jett Propelled closed late for second while Lofty Treasure was third.

The 7-year-old Huntsville mare notched her 45th career win and pushed her seasonal earnings over $100,000 for the second straight year. It was one of four wins on the card for Davis.
Mike Casalino’s Lil Miss Wondrphyl ($2.40, Corey Callahan) won her fourth straight race in 1:54.3, warding off a game challenge from runner-up Watching Brief N. The Dylan Davis trainee notched her fourth win in six career starts.
Live racing will continue on a Monday-through-Wednesday (post time 4:30 p.m.) through Oct. 22.
