Ocala, FL – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear friend Arlie Tinder.

Born May 19, 1934, in Bismarck, Ill., Arlie was a longtime Standardbred owner, breeder, trainer, driver, and since 1988 our Golden Cross Farm manager.
He was an invaluable part of our farm and racing stable. His unending work ethic and dedication took him from breeding responsibilities to horse care, and training. In his years with us, he was the beginning of many great horses and world champions.
His last start as a trainer came on Sept. 21, 1996, and his final two drives were at Pompano Park on Sept. 28, 1996, with Ciapa Lo and CR Grand Prise. Over his driving career, he achieved 203 lifetime wins and $329,000 – a reflection of his skill, dedication, and devotion to the sport and the horses he loved.
Arlie was beloved by generations of our family and the many people that we employed. His knowledge, friendship, and love for horses will be sorely missed.
Rod, Dawn, and the Allen families.
