Plainville, MA — Driver Bruce Ranger performed at a high level on Friday (Oct. 10) afternoon as he won four of the eight races he took part in at Plainridge Park.
Ranger won with Arabella’s Glider (1:58.1, $9.40), Ladyshootstheblues (1:54.1, $11.20), CBF Fin (1:55.1, $7.00) and Fog Watch (1:59.2, $13.60).
After Friday’s action, Ranger now has 108 wins for the meet and sits second for dash tallies, ten tallies behind Brett Beckwith who has 118.

The one race that Ranger didn’t win was the $14,400 Trackmaster pace that went to Windydayatthebeach driven by Jay Randall. Windydayatthebeach took the lead just past the quarter and then led to the half in :55.3 and three-quarters in 1:24 while Sweet Sally Sue (Fern Paquet Jr.) pressed on the outside. Windydayatthebeach turned back that challenge at the top of the stretch and then held off a late-closing Hunts Flower (Nick Graffam) to win by a neck in 1:54.
Windydayatthebeach ($4.60) is owned by Kevin Gee and Robert Kopak and trained by Randy Bickmore.
Randall registered a consecutive double on Friday.
The card of racing that was originally scheduled for Monday (Oct. 13) featuring four Grand Circuit events has been cancelled due to the forecasted Nor’easter that is expected to hit the region.
Live racing will resume at Plainridge Park on Tuesday (Oct. 14) at 2 p.m. and there will be a $718 carryover in the Wicked Hi-5 pentafecta in the sixth race.
