Butler, PA – Dorothy Elaine Moses, 84, of Butler passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Embassy of Saxonburg Nursing Home.

She was born on October 7, 1941, in Lyndora, she was the daughter of the late Isadore and Katherin (Beitch) Polanec. Dorothy was a homemaker and along with her husband, Chuck, owned and trained Harness Racehorses and was a member of the United States Trotting Association. They were proud owners of Tremor Hanover, 2011 Pacer of the Year at the Meadows. It gave her enjoyment in her senior years to watch her grandsons, Aaron and Shawn drive racehorses at the Meadows, along with spending time with her great grandson, Lucas; and listening to music composed by her son, Chuck Moses.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Charles III, Debra and Richard Moses, and Christine (Bryn) Martin; grandsons, Aaron (Jennifer) and Shawn (Dawnelle) Johnston, Mark and Michael Moses; great grandson, Lucas Johnston; three brothers, Isadore, Thomas (Linda) and Richard “Dick” Polanec; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Charles Moses II, on December 30, 2021; four brothers, William, Edward, Albert and Fred Polanec; and two sisters, Virginia Uram and Rose Marie Hindman.
