Port Perry, ON – The Cattlewash Syndicate and Tara Hills Stud are pleased to announce the 2026 book for Cattlewash is now full and closed after an extraordinary number of applications had been received.
This will mark the fifth consecutive year that Cattlewash, North America’s most popular pacing stallion is servicing a full book of mares.
The overwhelming number of applications came as no surprise given the incredible performances of Cattlewash’s first two crops to race. His first crop, in New Jersey was lead by Smooth Dream p,3,1:49.2, winner of nine of 10 starts this year and nearly a quarter-million dollars. Also 12% of that first crop have taken records of 1:50 or better, a higher percentage than any other sire for foals of 2022.
Cattlewash’s second crop was lead by the budding superstar Beau Jangles p,2,1:48.3 ($1,227,326) and unbeaten in 12 dazzling performances. “Beau” and the filly Champion, A Clean Deal p,2,1:50 ($329,294) were the top money earners in the Ontario Sires Stakes, contributing towards total dominance of that program by Cattlewash offspring who in total had more in OSS 2-year-old earnings than all other pacing sires combined.
Cattlewash, a son of Somebeachsomewhere out of Road Bet by Bettor’s Delight stands at Tara Hills Stud in Port Perry, Ontario for a 2026 fee of USD $10,000.
