Fort Washington, MD – Steven Robinson swept Thursday’s (Dec. 4) slate of Mid-Atlantic Drivers Club events at Rosecroft Raceway, teaming a pair of favorites to victory in their respective $5,000 events for bottom-level conditioned pacers.
In the first division, Robinson pointed Trey Rockette four-wide upon entering the far turn, and the 7-year-old Yankee Cruiser-O Narutac Rockette gelding sustained an extended bid to overtake pacesetter Hungry Max (driven by Philip Kozak) and win by a widening length in 1:55.1 for owner/trainer Christina Luoto.
Now a 23-time winner, Trey Rockette paid $3.60 to win as the 4-5 favorite.
The second division saw Robinson and Slick Fella control fractions of :27.1, :57.2 and 1:26.1 before evading a stretch challenge from pocket rival Cheyenne Ryan Lee (Alexandra Goldin) to win by a diminishing quarter-length in 1:56.1.
Janet Davis trains the 6-year-old Real Desire-Rafaella Seelster gelding, who paid $6.40 to win as the 2-1 co-favorite, for Lisa Denison and Greg Dypsky. It was Slick Fella’s fifth career win and his first of 2025.
William Carter led all drivers with three wins on the 13-race card, teaming up with his dad, trainer Billy Carter, to win with CS Explosive Chip (1:57.4, $6.20) and Bluebird Ina (1:55.2, $4.60), and trainer Lewis Nunes with Summer Dreams (1:56.1, $4.60).
Live harness racing returns to Rosecroft on Monday (Dec. 8) with a pair of carryovers on the 13-race card: $133.95 in the Pick-5 (races 3-7) and $4,155.89 in the Jackpot Hi-5 (race 10). First post is 7:15 p.m. (EST).
