Milton, ON – Woodbine Entertainment has announced that Friday’s (Dec. 26) card of live racing at Woodbine Mohawk Park has been canceled due to an impending winter storm.
The forecast for Campbellville calls for high winds, snow and freezing rain. The decision to cancel is made in the best interest of all participants and staff.
The finals of the Valedictory and Niagara Series have been rescheduled to next Friday (Jan. 2) and will go as drawn.
Live racing is scheduled to resume Saturday evening (Dec. 27) at 6:35 p.m. (EST).
Additionally, training for Saturday morning has been canceled.
The Raceway cancels Boxing Day program
London, ON – The Raceway at Western Fair District has been forced to cancel its Boxing Day program due to extended freezing rain throughout the day, leading to hazardous track and travel conditions.
The next live program is scheduled for this Monday evening (Dec. 29) with a 5:50 p.m. (EST) first post. Horse people are advised that there is no qualifying or training at The Raceway next Thursday (New Year’s Day) and that qualifying has been moved to Friday evening following the live race program at approximately 9:30 p.m.
