Lebanon, OH – Jeremy Smith, the newest member of the 4,000 win club, took four races on Miami Valley’s Wednesday (Jan. 29) card.
In the frigid temperatures, Jeremy got things started in the fourth race with a first-over trip that turned into a 13-1/2 length romp with Majors Miracle. Two races later, he was back in the winner’s circle with a coast-to-coast trip piloting Flamboyance. In the very next race, he used a two-hole trip to win by a neck with Feetmadefordancin. He then closed out the card with his fourth of the night in the 14th and final race of the night; this one with Sure Did.

In the featured $29,000 event, S I P rallied from an early miscue behind the gate to win in 1:55.3.
Right before the wings folded on the Mike Woebkenberg starting gate, S I P made a quick break, which stalled any forward momentum and left driver David Miller with no option but to take back and settle in sixth along the rail.
Longshot Team Bravo (26-1) protected rail position and led the field single file past an opening quarter of 28.1. Favorite Angel Nation (5-2) was then sent first up from fourth, dragging along the close second choice in the betting pools, Robert Michael second over and S I P lining up third over.
As Team Bravo led the field past the half and three quarters in :58.1 and 1:26.3, respectively, Angel Nation was only able to draw within a length and a half, never really challenging the leader.
As they exited the final turn, Robert Michael tipped out three with S I P flipping four wide as David Miller had the field measured and cruised home to victory by three quarters of a length. Team Bravo held on for second while Texsong Soprano used the pocket trip for third.
The win for S I P was his second in five starts since moving in from out east to the Steve Carter barn, and his 12th lifetime victory in just 47 starts.
Drivers David Miller and Chris Page each had three wins on the card. On the training side, 14 races produced 14 different winning trainers, a rarity at the 5/8th mile oval.
Racing action will close out the week at Miami Valley on Thursday night (Jan. 29)with the featured $36,000 Filly & Mare Open handicap. Post time is 4 p.m.
